Defining privacy and discussing main reasons why Facebook cannot provide informational privacy, now I would like you to think of your attitude toward privacy on Facebook. Even though you may not think of that, I would encourage you to see the whole picture. You should understand how your private information can be used. Facebook users are always supervised by Facebook Inc., “friends”, employers, and the government. Therefore, you won’t know whether your personal account is supervised or not.  However, sometimes your information can be used against you. For example, employers make a background check on Facebook and decide whether hire or fire you, the FBI supervises social networking websites’ profiles because of security and other concerns that might be questionable, and advertising and marketing companies use your information to advertise and sell products. Therefore, don’t be naïve that Facebook provides free service and it is able to provide informational privacy. Therefore, you should monitor which information you post or like on Facebook and be responsible for that.
